Key Research Interests:

Metabolic changes after bariatric surgery: Dr. Seyit studies how surgery affects the levels of hormones such as resistin, visfatin and apelin, as well as DNA methylation in duodenal tissues.
Gastroenterology: He is investigating the efficacy of various treatments, including the use of stents for malignant left colonic obstructions.
Psychosocial Aspects of Obesity: Dr. Seyit analyzes how bariatric surgery affects quality of life, anxiety and depression levels in patients with compulsive overeating.

Publications:

Dr. Seyit’s work has been published in prestigious international journals such as Surgical Endoscopy, Bariatric Surgical Practice and Patient Care and Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques.
