• In 1991, he received the title of Adjunct Professor of Plastic Surgery awarded by the jury of Gulhane Military Medical Academy at the Department of Plastic Surgery in Ankara.

• In 1985, he worked as a plastic surgeon at Çorlu Military Hospital, Turkey.
• From 1988 to 1990, he was a research associate in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas.
• From 1990-1991, he was an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery in the same department and medical center.
• From 1992 to 1995, he served as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Ankara.
• From 1995 to 1998, he served as Professor of Plastic Surgery and Head of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Medical Faculty of Başkent University in Ankara.
• From 1998 to 2014 he was in private practice.
• Since 2014 he has been working at Istanbul Aesthetic Center.

• National Delegate of Turkey to the IPRAS Asia Pacific Section at the Congress in Seoul, South Korea in 1993.
• National Delegate of Turkey to the European Section of IPRAS at the meeting in Lisbon, Portugal in 1997.
• Turkey’s National Delegate to the International Confederation of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Societies (IPRAS) at the congresses in Yokohama, Japan (1995), San Francisco, USA (1999), Sydney, Australia (2003), and Berlin, Germany (2007).

• Member of the Certification and Accreditation Committee of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery from 2003 to 2005, President of the Committee from 2005 to 2009.
• Vice-President of the Executive Committee of the Turkish Society of Microsurgical Reconstructive Surgery from 1994 to 1996.
• National Delegate of Turkey to the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS) from 2004 to 2008.
• President of the 9th Annual Meeting of the Turkish Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons held from May 11 to 15, 2005 at Swiss Hotel Bosphorus, Istanbul.

Member of the Executive Committee of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery:

• Vice President from 2004 to 2006.
• President from 2008 to 2010.

He became certified by the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) in 2006 by training and successfully passing exams in Budapest, Hungary.
